Most process manufacturing requires an ongoing
QC program that samples and tests product as it moves through
the production steps. Process manufacturers must maintain
formula accuracy that adheres to published guidelines and
in many cases, Federal and state regulations controlling product
consistency and quality issues. These needs make the implementation,
management, and recording of ongoing quality control procedures
an important part of the manufacturing process.
As testing results are gathered, they are recorded on a Certificate
of Analysis or other mandated document and stored in production
archives that will keep a historical record of accuracy or
production difficulties. These documents must be scanned into
electronic images that are indexed according to materials,
job number, product code, and production run. Rapid retrieval
of imaged QC records can then be used to verify the results
of quality control testing and the resultant test results
in case questions or issues about the quality of a particular
production run should arise.
Recording and storing test results through all stages of QC
insures that testing results will be available when needed
and indexed for fast storage and retrieval. Spectrum Information
Services provides scanning and imaging for all stages of the
testing process, including:
Pre-analytic
- specimen acquisition or sampling and handling
Analysis - the manipulation and sample
/ signal processing of the test measure or specimen
Post-Analytic - the recording of the
test results in a variety of formats depending upon the documentation
requirements
These services are provided to Quality
