Other Industry Groups - Aerospace

The aerospace industry is one of the most closely regulated industries in the US. FAA regulations dictate a labyrinth of rules, requirements, and provisions regulating the design, manufacture, materials usage, quality control procedures, check-out, maintenance and repair, and flight operations of all manner of aircraft. The NTSB mandates certain operational procedures that must be adhered to and reported upon when non compliancy is suspect. The DOT controls routes, flow, egress and ingress throughout our logistics network. Even OSHA requirements mandate certain reporting – often dependent upon ISO 9000 recording.

Heavy regulation creates paperwork and paper flow requirements that dictate a need for more advanced methods of document storage and retrieval than have historically been used. Moving away from a paper based system of process management and on to electronic document recording provides modern aerospace firms and service companies with the business processes needed to deliver materials, products, and services in a timely, cost effective manner while maintaining compliancy with government reporting requirements.

Spectrum Information Services has been providing electronic document conversion processes to aerospace manufacturing and service firms in Southern California and throughout the south west since 1991. Our projects help aircraft fabricators and service firms establish streamlined business practices that employ modern document management technology. These systems begin with archival document scanning and imaging. Scanned documents are then indexed according to the information flow of our client and stored in document management systems built upon database management systems with sufficient scale to handle the volume workload. Physical documents are then cataloged and stored in secure facilities. As their business life expires, records then go through a process of document destruction that assures their complete elimination. For more information on this process, review the Document Destruction link under our Services heading.

Electronic disk storage of your documents provides a number of benefits that translate to improved customer service, better Federal regulations compliancy, and larger profit margins, including:
Confidentiality – properly encrypted records protect your valuable data from unauthorized access

Accountability – records are not lost from a properly managed electronic document management system

Accessibility – is accurate and immediate when you need instant retrieval of specific records

Efficient – because electronic document scanning, imaging, and filing takes a fraction of the work required by physical document storage systems
Spectrum Information Services provides aviation and aeronautical record document scanning and document storage to aerospace engineering firms and aviation service companies operating throughout Southern California and the southwest – including Los Angeles County, CA, Orange County, CA, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and San Diego County. We also have offices in Texas, Florida and Chicago.
